    Everyone has been singing the praises of the recently launched iPad 2, but what happened to its younger sibling, the original version of the handy gadget? The images that immediately spring to mind are of the lonely gadget left to gather dust by iPad 2 owners. Apparently not, instead they have been listed on Gumtree.com.

    The online listings company has reported a massive surge in the number of iPads listed on their site. Ever since the iPad 2 launch earlier this year the website has been inundated with iPad listings. After discovering this trend the company decided to investigate further.

    They found that there were lots of trends regarding the iPad sales on their website. They have published their findings and now all of us are in on the secret. The company's data indicated that iPad prices varied greatly across the company. With the cheapest iPads being listed in Belfast and the most expensive in London. They also found that London had the most iPads listed and the iPads in the north were cheaper than their southern relatives.

    So let’s reminisce for a second, when the iPad was launched just over a year ago it was hailed for the battery life of up to 10 hours from a single charge. Its ability to run almost all of the applications available in Apple's App Store and lastly it brought an element of fun to the tablet market. A feat that no other company have been able to mirror.
